Our Ministries
Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry is for ages 5 thru 18. We offer youth Sunday School at 10:00 and Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7:00. Lessons are age appropriate with a focus on teacher student interaction. It is our desire that our youth will enjoy learning together as they further develop their relationship with God and one another.
Children's church
Is Sunday during normal worship service. It is designed to create an environment that is more engaging for our young people. Children’s church is for ages 5 thru 12. We have wonderful, caring, and nurturing teachers who will take great care of your youth while you attend and enjoy the worship service.
Outreach Ministry
We are committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ individually and collectively. Our outreach consists of going out into the community (apartment complex, nursing home, etc.). We conduct services with good ole singing and gospel preaching. At other times we go out and simply witness by sharing our faith with others.
Pastor care Ministry
Seeks to find opportunities to be a blessing to the pastor and First Lady. They do amazing things throughout the year (birthdays, Christmas, pastoral anniversary, etc.). They also help to plan for the Pastor’s annual anniversary celebration. These persons are enthusiastic about providing care to our first family.
Music Ministry
We have several choirs that allows everyone to find their place. The choirs provide music during morning worship. The Music ministry do a great job complementing the service. They practice in order to be prepared that they might sing and bless the people as they bring glory to God.
- Anointed Voices of Vision – young adult and middle age choir
- Male Chorus – men that honor God through lifting up their voices.
- Youth Choir – young people of all ages that love singing for Jesus.
- Mass Choir – combination of all choir members that sing on special occasions.
- Senior Choir – mature saints that sing the hymns and songs of Zion.
- Praise Teams – this ministry acts as the warm-up group. They provide music before morning worship to set the atmosphere for a wonderful worship experience. They are motivated, excited, and pumped up for Jesus. We have youth and adult praise teams.
Usher Ministry
Friendly spirited youth and adults who stand at the door ready to greet you with a warm smile. They enjoy serving at the door of the House of the Lord. The spirit of kindness is a necessity for this ministry.
Hospitality Ministry
Friendly and outgoing men and women who love to make others feel special about attending Smith Chapel. They also send cards and gifts of love to members who have been hospitalized for a period of time.
Grounds Ministry
These faithful men take care of providing seasonal care to the grounds on the property. They ensure that our campus is reflective of our concern for others and our love for Christ.
Kitchen Ministry
This group takes responsibility for providing meals to the church family on special occasions as well as during funerals. They take great pride in ensuring that the church family are fed high quality and well-planned meals.
Marriage Ministry
This ministry provides support and fun activities for all married couples. The highlight for the couples is the annual marriage conference which takes place at various places. Previous places visited are Myrtle Beach and Carolina Beach. This is a ministry of fellowship and fun.
Sound Team Ministry
This ministry focuses on making sure that all audio and visual equipment is working properly throughout the service. This group plays a critical role in producing a high-quality service for our members and friends.
